Grandma's Pajama Party
We had a pajama/hot chocolate party for the grand kids. Santa knocked on the window and was checking up to see who has been naughty or nice. It really got the kids excited.

Bad Flue
We have had a bad flue. Nick and Karter both went into the emergency room last night and got fluids and antinazia medicine. Camie and 8 month old Livvy went into the emergency today. It hits hard and lasts a while.

A Cold Rainy Marathon 2008
Rachel ran a 3 hour and 44 minute race and Heidi ran a 5 hour 2 minute race. It was Heidi's first race and Rachel's second. They both had some hypothermia when they finished. There were many that didn't finish because of the weather. It added an extra degree of difficulty. Way to go girls, we are so proud of you.

Anna's Homecoming Skit for the Royalty
Anna was on the Homecoming Royalty this year and did a cute dance with her partner. The only problem was he fell into her and through the dance off for a minute, but they recoved well.
Hike on Pine Valley
So we hiked up Pine Valley today and found a new trail that we had looked for several other time and saw some beautiful autumn leaves in yellows, reds, and oranges. The mountain was shimmering and looked on fire. The leaves are just beginning to change. The only bad part was the company we had to keep on the way down. We ran into this huge bull slowing working his way down off the mountain and this was my scenery for several miles. The trail is very narrow and we couldn't get around him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
I would like to wish my mom a happy birthday and let her know how much i love her. I am so thankful for my mother. She is my best friend. She is such a example to me. My mother has such a strong testimony of the gospel. I look up to her in many ways. I want to be just like her. I love my mom so much for the person she is. Thank you for raising me the way you have. It's Me Checkin In!!!
This is Anna here and i am just reporting in! I am at Dixie State Soccer camp this week and it is going good! I have been really nervous cause i didnt know how my soccer coach was gonna treat me. When i first told him i wanted to play he told me there is no way that i could and that he would send me home the first day of try outs. So, i got determinded and have gained a heart and love for soccer. I play all the time now and have been on a club soccer team that has done me so much. Shout out to my coaches! :D I was determinded to show him that i wanted to play. So, in this 110 degree weather i am tryin to. I get a little discouraged sometimes but i am holding my own. I think he is impressed with me! he has complimented me and such! He even told me today i have the heart for soccer!

Kevin is healing from his surgery where they reattached the tendon at his elbow. He hurt it up at Youth Conference at Snow College. This is the Grand Opening for the Town Place Inn with a view of the pools.

Mom's Birthday

We celebrated my mother's birthday at the Park. My brother Thayne's birthday is the day before and my daughter Heidi's is the day after, so it was a joint party of sorts. You know, when you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses. Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family.Summer Games
Anna's club soccer team competed in the Summer Games and ended up playing for the championship where they were defeated 2 to 1, but it was a great effort.

I had one of my beautiful nieces get married on Sat. Weddings are such a monumental moment.
We had gotten back the day before from a few days in Dallas Texas, where we were able to hook up with a missionary buddy of Kevin's that we hadn't seen in many years. We had a great evening with them. We stayed at a real nice motel and I especially enjoyed this little 'happy Budda" statue that was on the grounds. He looks like he loves life and made me feel glad inside.
Kevin celebrated a birthday on Friday and we had Mother's Day today and got to talk with our son who is in Hobbs New Mexico on a mission. He's been out one year now and is such a good and faithful son.
My heart was touched by his dedication and graditude; as it is by all my children. They are all very generous with graditude and praise. There good lives bring me honor and joy.
Children begin by loving their parents; as they grow older they judge them; sometimes they forgive them. Mine are very forgiving and kind.

General Conference
We attended General Conference with Lex and Kelsey. Nikki came with us on Sunday. She about froze to death before we got her her ticket though. It was cold in Salt Lake. I DID IT!!! one more thing....
I DID IT! I BLOGGED!! I am proud of myself. The other thing that i think is awesome that i got to do was.... i got to go to a Colbie Caillet concert! It was AMAZING!! She is so good in concert and presents herself to the crowd so good! It was so so much fun! I got to go with my girlfriends and it was a lot of fun! I was second row dead center! Jealous i know you all are! I had alot of fun though! Love ya all! :D
