Remember

It is wise to remember that you are one of those who can be fooled some of the time.

Happy Holidays-Love Drew

Drew is so excited for Christmas! She knows that Christmas time is the time we go on the airplane to St. George to grandma's house. I don't know whose counting down the days more, Drew or Camie. Happy Holidays!

Wiggly Legs

We went on a hike looking for some caves out behind Entrada this week end. We got somewhat lost and the hike ended up being a lot longer and harder than we had anticipated. We did eventually find the caves, but in the mean time, Macy 4 and Cade 7, just had to keep trudging along. Macy said her legs were getting "wiggly". I've had that experience where my legs feel like jelly and are exhausted. Kyle packed her on his shoulders a little. Cade told Macy to ask her dad if he could ride on his shoulders too. Kyle packed Cade for a while too. Amber had ran 2 miles that morning and I think she might of been getting 'wiggly legs" too.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving turned out wonderful, although there were moments when it seemed questionable. We had the kids over and the grandparents; sixteen adults and nine grand kids. Kevin got up at 6:30 and put the turkey in the oven to bake. It needed about five hours. We spent the morning preparing the rest of the meal and made a huge bowl of Dixie Salad. We were eating at noon, so about 11:30 I asked Kevin to take the turkey out so I could make some gravy. To our horror we discovered the oven was off and the turkey hadn't cooked. Kevin about had a coronary. He made a mad dash up to Golden Coral and bought a baked turkey and saved the day. We enjoyed a scrumptious meal and good company, the gravy was the only thing a little lacking. Now we have a 24 lb. untouched freshly cooked turkey. I'm in the market for some recipes for leftover turkey.

Good Company

We went to the Jubilee of Trees today for Grandma's pre-school. I enjoyed the company I had and they certainly enjoyed each other. It's a special treat to have granddaughters. Especially these two who are so willing to do whatever Grandma wants . To hold a child's hand is to touch heaven.

The Birthday Girl

Anna had her birthday on the 2nd and her sisters came and decorated her car and left her roses anonymously
. She attended the Senior Ball tonight and looked like a dream. We taped all the inserts in on her dress though; I hope it holds.

Tagged

I'm not sure what "Tagged" is, but I will follow Camie's lead and tell you a few things about myself.
1. I read. It's a sad scenario but some of my best friends are books.
2. I write. I keep a daily journal.
3. I run. I like being out in the early morning and enjoy a world of my own. I love hiking, the mountains, and adventure.
4. I rest. I nap almost every day and love to get into my bed no matter when.
5. I remember. I like looking back at things.

Who Did This?!

Little kids think you can't see them when their eyes are closed. They try to sneak the fridge open with their eyes shut. One day my little boy came in from playing and was getting a drink out of the fridge and I said "Lex, how are doing?" He looked at me and said "Mom! I'm not home yet."
